get i get an extension after z visa is cancelled

Question

I have finished my working relationship with my ex company and they cancelled my Z. Now, I'm waiting for my passport which is going to have a Stay permit for several days. Can I get a tourist L and/or extension with this stay permit here in China or do I have to go to some other country (HK or Mexico)? PS. I'm Mexican

Hi, I think the stay permit can not be extended any more. But don't worry, the specific limit time of the stay permit is decided  by Exit-entry Administration Department, the maximum duration of stay issued is 180 days as I know. If you want to change job, you can apply for residence permit renewal without leaving after you get the work permit.
