About:Shopping in Guangzhou

Where can i buy furniture of class B and C , custom made kitchen cabinets, curtains and lightings in Guangzhou?

I will be going there in december to shop for things for my new house. I would like the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe made . Would like to get most of the furniture from china and lightings as well, not forgetting the roller blinds and curtains. Would be very pleased if you can tell me where is the best place to shop.

You can find furniture at Meiju Furniture Center at Tianhe District or Bohuang International Furniture Exppo Center at Fangcun.

For curtains, Haiyin Cloth Market is most recommended. And for lightings, Anhua Lighting Plaza is a good one and it is at Huangshi East Road, Baiyun District.

Thank-you very much Cissy. I was told that Foshan is the place where all furniture factories are located . Is Foshan a better shopping place for furniture? I heard numerous stories that what you see may not be what you get after shipping them into your country. Can you recommend me a good , reliable guide and a trustworthy forwarding agent ? Do you have any tips that I should know as a first timer to GZ? Yes, where can I get good quality (uk standard) but cheap christmas decorations ? I am thinking about spending christmas in the city or maybe Macau. What is your recommendation? Ha! Ha! Sorry for asking too many questions! Thanks again for your assistance. Truly appreciate it. Yes, you are right. You would have more choices in Foshan for furniture. I recommend the local Lecong Furniture Center at Shunde District to you. My friend Dabbey bought a sofa there and it was great.

I have no idea from whom you get the rumors, but they generally offer you the one you choose. Anyway, for shipment, it is most relaible to use China Post. You may go to consult whether they provide such service.

Another one I heard reliable is GZ Xunlian Freight Agency. It is located at Lianming Commercial & Trade Center, No. 171, Guangyuan Middle Road, Baiyun District for your reference!

For Xmas decorations, it is best to find at local Yide Road, where you will have many choices and the price is reasonable.
