To Purchase Phone and Sim Card

1- I plan to purchase a phone and also sim card in China to be used on my trip (Nov 8-17). Can you tell me how much does it cost on each item?
2- Since I will be in Hong Kong as well as Macau (Nov 17-24), should I purchase different phone in each country?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank.

Firstly, you don't need separate phones to use in China mainland, HK and Macau. because the mobile you buy in the mainland can be through used in all these places. As for the charge, it depends on what mobile you would like, regular one or smart one?

I suggest u go and buy both the mobile and SIM card at certain office of the communication company. But there are China Mobile, Telecom or Unicom for your choice. Which one do you prefer? Then go for that!

When getting a new SIM card, it card itself is for free and you need to put in CNY50-100 for your communication use. If you but a mobile at the same time, they will provide preferential charges for your call.
