Places to visit beside Taipei

Hi I am planning to visit Taiwan next year in June, with main purpose of Sightseeing, any places to recommend?

As I have only visited Taipei and Hualien, I am keen to explore other areas such as TaiChung, Kenting etc.

However, I am worried about the weather, will it affect alot on the outdoor visiting to places such as Sun Moon Lake and other mountainous areas??

Or should I just postpone my trip to other months?

Will 2 weeks in Taiwan to explore sightseeing places be too long and tiring?

If you want to enjoy the island, 2 weeks are not too long and it will not be so tired.
If time is possible, the best time to visit the island is from September to November.
For traveling to the island in June, I think the biggest problem you consider may be the typhoon, right? According to the previous records, the typhoon does not alway happen, so it is not a big problem. Besides, if the typhoon does not affect the island so badly, your trip can still be on. Apart from typhoon problem, there is no big problem on the weather.
