About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Which visa do I need to go to Shanghai for a couple of business meetings?

I have meetings in Shanghai over a couple of days (internal company meetings, not sales or anything) but flight schedule means I would be a few hours over the 72 hour visa exemption.

Is the 72 hour limit very strict? If so, which type do I need, F or M?

You should apply for a business F type for this visit.
