can i use us dollars in china?

Can I use US Dollars in China, should I exchange before going or will it be easy to exchange in China, what currency should I get RMB or CNY?

I remember the USD can only be used in the duty-free shops in the airports in China. In most cases, only RMB is accepted. To exchange that, you can easily make it at the airports or branches of Bank of China in different cities. By the way, RMB and CNY refers to the same thing, Chinese currency!
