About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

How can I go back to China if I have a US passort and the visa place is not allowing me to do so

I was born in China and immigrated to US for more than 30 years and I now hold a US passport and want to go to China for vacation, I tried to get a visa and they said I need to show proof that I was born there in order for me to go but I don't have my Chinese passport anymore or my birth cert. I was denied to go back. How can this be? Can anyone answer..thanks

Hi, this is true. If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time after you get a foreign passport, you should provide your previous Chinese passport held and a photocopy of its data page. If possible, you should better contact the embassy/consulate again for this as they have final say to your application.
