About:Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria

Tourist visa for a Portuguese citizen

Hi, Being a Portuguese citizen, just visiting Bulgaria at the moment, can I apply for a 3 months (single entry) or a 6 months (2 entry) Chinese tourist type one in Bulgaria? Is there any way I can do this though a tourist agency? It is my first visit to China. Thank you for your time in advance.

Previously, the embassy didn't accept applications from people who were not Bulgarians. According to the new regulations implemented from September 1, 2013, those who apply in the third countries must povide legal status (residence permit or valid visas). So I think you should contact the Chinese embassy directly to confirm that whether you can apply in Bulgarians.

By the way, you can apply for he single entry or double entry, but the embassy finally decides which type and how long durations you will get. In general, it is difficult for those first-new comers to apply for multiple entries.

Well thank you so much for the fast reply. I do not need one for Bulgaria as it is part of EU, I have been to Bulgaria for the last 20 days only so I do not require a residence permit either, the thing is, I do not want to have to go back to Portugal just so I can make one for PRC.
