How to address a close Uncle

A 20 year old Chinese lady in a story I'm writing needs to address her Uncle who raised her as "Uncle ____" It is important to the story that she call him both Uncle and a name. Would she use his given name or his surname?

If the lady is close (emotionally) to her uncle, it is proper to use "Uncle+given name". If they just keep a so so touch, "Uncle +surname" is better.
