About:China Great Wall

How are the small groups organized?

I will be coming to China with my 17 year old granddaughter. Has anyone else traveled with just one other person? Will we be a group of two or will we be joined with others? If it is just the two of us, do we have our own guide or we will become part of a group. If so, what is the size of that group?

I noticed that there are times when we are told we should bring lunch and that we are also often on our own for dinner. That will be fine for us but how do we find places to buy food to bring and how do we choose our restaurants? We have travelled together before on our own but in Europe where we were using the Rick Steves guides for restaurants.
Another question - we would like to add an extra day in Shanghai at the end of the Dreamlands trip. How do we do that?

Hi, you can have a private tour, with the member of only you and your granddaughter. Then you will have a private guide. In this way, you may need to spend a lot. Besides, you can join a group with other foreign travelers. Genreally, there are 10- 15 people in a group for your reference!

May I know whether you are going to visit the wall section in Beijing? If so, Badaling is recommended. At the foot of that, there is a Badaling Hotel, where there are western dining hal for your convenience. And you don't need to bring yourself food then.

Oh, the fastest high-speed trains between Beijing and Shanghai only takes around 5h. Take that at Beijing South Train Station to Shanghai Hongqiao or Shanghai Station.

Hope this is clear for you!
