72 Hour Transit Visa- can this be used for business travel?

I am traveling to China for a number of business meetings. I fly from London to Hong Kong where I spent 2 days and then fly to Beijing where I spent 2 days and then fly home to England. I believe this time frame and the flights from and to different places qualify me for the Transit permit but I wanted to check this is valid for business purposes.

Yes, it is ok for business purpose. Make sure inform your airline about this transit stay request before taking the flight to Beijing.
