About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

What would be the maximum length of time issued to a spouse of Chinese citizen?

My previous trips to China I was only issued a 1or 2 month Visa. I am now married to the woman whom I used to visit, she is a Chinese citizen and an owner of a Condo in the city of Tianjin.

Question. As a Canadian Citizen what would be the maximum length of time that I would be issued for? I hope to be able to arrange a 3 month trip.

You can apply for a Q1 visa, and then apply for a residence permit, within 30 days from the date of entry, from the exit/entry administrations of local PSB. The residence permit can be issued with max validity of 5 years.
