About:Chinese Embassy in Cyprus

Hi, I am visiting a friend of mine in Shanghai, so I cant provide u with hotel reservations.

Do I have to provide you with any other documents? Moreover, what do u mean by International travel insurance that will cover my stay there? Who can provide me with such an insurance?

You need to provide an invitation letter from your friend instead. As I know, travel insurance is not mandatory for tourist L application. You can contact a local travel agency if this is necessary.

The lettter should contain:
(1) Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)

(2) Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)

(3) Information on the inviting entity or individual (name, contact telephone number, address, official stamp, signature of the legal representative or the inviting individual)

Generally, the invitation letter in the form of fax, photocopy or computer printout are acceptable. Appointmen is not required for application.
