Alternatives transit road from shantou to Singapore?

Hi I need to return to Singapore via SQ flight from shantou but will have transit time of 7 hrs from ST city to Guangzhou to singapore. Is there other alternatives for shorter transit by car, train or ship? ST to Shenzhen or HK instead?

You may change to use Jetstar Asia, whose flight no. 3K824 leaves Chaoshan Airport at 18:45 to take u to Singapore without stopover on the way.
