About:Kunming Travel

Can I visit Yading Nature Reserve on late December?

I will fly to Kunming and take a bus to Zhongdian. Travel around in Zhongdian for a day and then take a bus or rental taxi to Daocheng.
1. Is the road from Zhongdian to Daocheng opened on that period?
2. How about the weather?
3. How much does it cost for a taxi from Zhongdian to Daocheng or to Riwa?

It would be a little cold to visit Yading Nature Reserve, so it should not be a good travel timing. The best time there is March to April and Sep. to Oct.

For your questions, here is what I know:
1. Yes, the road will open then, but there is only one bus for the journey every day, leaving Zhongdian around 06:00 in the early morning. It takes around 12h.
2. In late Dec. cloudy days would be the majority, but it still is cold, with the average temperature of around 0C.
3. It is so far between the two place, so the taxi fare would be very expensive. At the same time, it may be hard to rent a taxi for the journey. The bus I mentioned is the best way and the bus fare is CNY110 or a little more a remember.
