Transit only Visa

I fly into Guangzhou at 06:40 out 09:00 same day. My Return flight is much longer in at 06:00 on the 19th January and out at 00:30 on the 20th is a G type needed and if possible what is there to do in the transit lounge facility wise I am asking any recent flyers.
