About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I need transit visa if my layover is 8or15 hrs and I am just leaving the airport but not the city

My trip is a roundtrip but when I depart I have a layover in Shanghai and on my return I arrive in a different ariport in China.

You need to apply for a stay permit at the airport if you want to go out of the airport.
