About:China Visa Application in UK
I haven't bought my flights yet nor reserved hotel. Can I still apply now for tourist visa?

Then you need to provide an invitation letter from a Chinese citizen, organization or foreigners who reside in PRC. Otherwise, you can't get the L since you don't have all the required documents.0
