Will American electronic devices need an adaptor to work in China's major cities?

Do I need to bring an electricity converter to re-charge my phone, camera, hair dryer, etc?

Yes, you may need an adaptor.
China's ordinary household voltage is 220V. Check your items if the input voltage is not suitable, buy an converter for convenience.
