About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ
If flight is delayed/miss connection in Guangzhou, can we apply for the transit visa at the airport?

If you already check in, I don't think it is a problem. If not, you need to apply on from the Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station.
