any malaysian guy married a chinese wife, pls assist

Hi there, I need to know the exact and detailed procedures in getting an affidavit of marital status ( single status) which is notarised and the notary public being certified and after all authenticated by Foreign Ministry of Affairs / Chinese Embassy (not sure is which one) and must be totally acceptable by Chinese Marriage Registrar. anyone of you out there from Malaysia can you please assist me. your kindness very much appreciated. thanks in advance.
