xian subway - from xa xianyang airport to the local north railway

Hi, Can I take the RED LINE 2, from the Airport to the North Railway? If yes, what is the frequency of this service & how much is the fare? Am I allow to bring my luggage into the train? How long does it take to travel from the airport to this North Railway station(XNR Station)?  Is this XNR station where I take the CRT train? Thank you for your help.

The subway line 2 cannot take you from the airport to the north railway station. You can take the airport shuttle bus line 1 to reach its terminal at Melody Hotel near the Bell Tower. Then you can walk to reach the Bell Tower to take the subway line 2 to reach the North Railway Station directly. The shuttle bus line 1 costs about 25RMB and the subway takes about 3RMB. The whole journey takes about two hours. The north train station is the place to take the CRT train.

Thanks for your reply, please tell me where/how do I take a taxi then, to go straight to the North Railway Station? Can you also tell me the duration of the trip & how much is the fare?  Do I need to bargain with the taxi driver or can I ask him to use the fare-meter?

Hi, upon your landing, you can easily take a taxi out of the airport to the North Station. The whole journey takes around half an hour and the taxi fare shall be CNY50-60. Just ask the driver to charge by meter. If he wants a discussed fee and charges high, you can bargain with him.
