About:China Customs Declaration

Taking cash out of PRC

I want to take 10000 USD out and 20000 RMB out of PRC, what does declaring it at customs mean and what documents should I provide in making sure everything is above board.

It would be great to get some information as this money is for surgery and I need to take cash out of the country to get surgery abroad.

Thank you all in advance

You have to write down the actual amount of cash that you are taking out of China when filling in the declaration form. Then the customs may allow you to take that out for your special case. Sometimes, they may charge a little tax fee.

To ensure things to go smoothly, it is most suggested to deposit your money in the bank card and winthdraw and exchange when arrival at your destination.
