I intend to take bus no. 867 to MTY. - Must I book the bus ticket in advance or I can buy the ticket on the day itself?- Is there a chance that the bus will be full?

No, you don't need to book the ticket in advance. Just go to Dongzhimen in the early morning to line up to catch the bus. You can get the ticket onboard. Yeah, the bus may get full, so go and catch that early.
