About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

What details are required of invitaion to stay with a friend as proof of accommodation in China?

Does the host have to be a Chinese citizen ? Will a Hong Kong ID card holder with a property in China qualify to invite the visa applicant? Is the host ID details required? Should the address of the accommodation be in English or Chinese or both?

Either Chinese citizens or foreign passport residents can be the inviter. The invitation letter should contain:

(1) Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)

(2) Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)

(3) Information on the inviting individual (name, contact telephone number, address, signature of the inviting individual)
Either Chinese or English invitation is ok for application.
