About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Could we get transit visa for the condition I am going to have ?

my travel with my wife starts from LA to Shanghai (arrives on Oct.30, 2013 - we will be arrived at 11:30 am)), and then go to Seoul, Korea (leave on Nov.2, 2013 at 1:05 pm- we will be in the airport at least 3 hr before). However, before we get to Shanghai, my wifeand I must change flight (transfer) in the Seoul, Korea before we get to Shanghai.This mean we have seperate boarding ticket.
In this case, would it be possible to get transit G? And how ?
Please let us know ASAP

You may need to apply for a transit G in advance if you have stopover in Seoul before landing in Shanghai. This exemption is for directly transit only. Anyway, you are suggested to contact Shanghai Airport Immigration Inspction directly for this. Tel: 0086-21-51105100

It is not a stop over, simply it is changing (transfer) flight at Seoul, Korea to go to Shanghai.
Basically, my flight is from LA to Shanghai.
