About:China Visa on Arrival

Can I apply for a Chinese visa from within China?

I currently have a 12 month one which expires soon. Can I apply for a new one from within mainland; e.g. from Shenzhen or Guangzhou or do I have to apply from outside, e.g. Hong Kong??

You can have a try to renew it in your local PSB, as I know, once time extension is available with supporting documents like invitation letter.

I forgot to mention that I just wanted a 3 month one and be able to exit and RE-ENTER Mainland; can I apply for it from within Mainland which allows me to exit and RE-ENTER Mainland; e.g, a double entry 3 month? or do I need to apply from outside Mainland which allows RE-ENTRY?

Yes, as I know, it is possible to get one in HK if you do not want to go back to your home country.
