Canton fair

I am a UK citizen, I will be travelling to Hong Kong, via Guangzhou (2 hour stop) then straight on to HK, after visiting HK for 3 days, I fly back to Guangzhou and intend to visit the Canton fair for 3 days (within 72 hours)
I read that visitors can stay for 72 hours, can anyone confirm m trip fits the criterior please?
