She is the goddess on the moon in Chinese legendy. She was not live on the moon at first. It is said that she was born in Yangzhou, a city in Jiangsu Province in the beginning and the wife of Houyi. She ate the elixir and then flew to the moon. Since then she was living in the palace on the moon with a rabbit alone.
