Getting an F Visa in Hong Kong

Hello everyone!
I really need to get an F as soon as possible to work in China. They told me is possible to get in in Hong Kong, but some people also told me if you apply it there they just give you one or two months ( which would not be enough). Is it true? Thank you for your kindness
