Rat (I'm) in love with an Ox, I've recentley told her - now she's in Australia. Is it possible 4 us?

Ever since the day I saw her (5 years ago) I knew that she was the only one for me (I just felt it). During those years she was in two relationships and I just never had the currage to ask her out. She moved to Australia two years ago (found a great job) & only then did I realize what I had lost. I made a promise to visit her and due to unforseable circumstances broke that promise - I was a full - this devistated her and I'm lost without her. I'm going to see her - already bought my ticket. I know that she loves me because when we're around each other the feelings are electric, her heart races and we chat over random thoughts.
Her new friends think that I'm a bad guy & her old friend told her not to trust me. I told her that I bought my ticket and her responce is, "I have no answer." Before I broke my promise she always smiled and couldn't wait for me to go see her but now she's standoffish. Eventhough I now that I'm going, I would like to have the opinions of complete strangers on this matter. What are the chances of her cheering up once I'm there? She has told me that she's not strong enough to do long distance - those are the same words I used last year - one year ago she said she would wait for me (for us). What is a Rat to do in his pursuit of this elusive Ox?
