Ticket purchase in advance

Can I purchase a G-train ticket in Shanghai for rail journey from Nanjing to Beijing for use 6 days later? this will be around December 1st.

Yes, you could book the tickets online any time, or purchase tickets at ticket offices and railway station 0-18 days in advance.
