About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Single entry visa required 5 months prior to entry

We will be travelling for the 5 months prior to our entry to China and thus require our passports during that period. The single entry is only good for 3 months from issue. What can we do ?

You can have a try to apply for a double entry instead, which will be valid for 6 months from issue date. Or try to apply in HK before visiting mainland PRC if a trip to there is possible. As I know, it is very difficult to get one in a third country where you are not a resident.
