It is around 310km between the two destinations. You can surely reach there by your own car, but you'd better have a guide or Chinese person as company in case of getting lost on expressway. From Shanghai, you can take a direct bus at local South Long-distance Bus Station to Putuo. Then you can take a taxi to the scenic area. Or you can take a bus to travel from Shanghai to Shenjiamen.
