Is it reasonable to fly from Beijing to Datong, hire a taxi to hanging temple, taxi back to airport?

Theoretically, it is reasonabl, but the taxi fare may be a little high.
If you don't mind, upon your arrival at DT Airport, you can take local bus no. 40 to the railway station, near which there are buses to Huiyuan. They can take you to Hanging Temple.0
