renew my resident permit

I have been leaving and working in China for almost 10 years (with a working permit and local contract, that generated several 3Y visas in past, all managed by my employers), paying my full income tax in China, having all standard documents in hands along including police registration.
Then I have a young daughter born in 2009 in China and who holds a Chinese passport, with a Chinese birth certificate with my name and ID, and with the mother name too (mother is a Chinese citizen).
Now, I am still leaving in China with my daughter and her mother (but we are not married), and I am looking for a new job in China (last one was terminated 6 mths ago), but I need to renew my resident permit soon.
what is the best approach and can I apply for a long resident permit (3Y or 5Y) based on background and family reason?

Hi, the new regulation will be implemented on Sept.1, as in this regulation, you may able to apply for a family reunion Q type or at least the S type for family reason. But if you are not married with the Chinese lady, and to work, you should better apply for work Z directly. The new regulation goes that the Z residence permit can be issued with max validity of 5 years.
