hi i am going Guangzhou by oct for canton fair, which area will be comfortable to stay,

Haizhu Plaza is most recommended. If you wanna stay in the walking distance from the Canton Fair site, it is better to find a hotel near Pazhou MTR Station in this area.

Thanks, i have 1.5 day work at canton fair, and then any suggestion to spend another 2 days? any near by sight seeing?

Since you still have about two day to have a visit about the city, Pearl River, the Yuexiu Park, Chen Clan Academy, the Shamian Island and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall are suggested to go.
