About:China Customs Declaration

Do i need to declare to the customs officer?

Hi CHINA Officer,
I will be come up to visit china at sept 2. I have some gift to my relationship, brother, sisters...etc. some is the north ginseng roots about total 20bls. and some men's and lady's polo shirts. all gifts total value might be $ 1500 CANADA dollars. do I need to be declare to the customs when I enter to airport of CHINA? PLEARE GIVE ME FEED BACK SIR. I AM FORM CANADA. THANKS.

I heard the ginseng roots are forbidden to be taken into China.
As for the clothes as gifts, you can just take them in. There is no limitation for that.

hi, Henry, thanks for your feed back. why the ginseng roots are forbidden to be taken into CHINA. They are all plan in the farm.( they are not pick up from the nature) in the most the U.S.A. OR Canada visiting to CHINA CARRY some to...give it to friends, relation for the gift. they are really happy to make the soup, and healthy. actual I worry about I carry 20bls into... I have friends, brother, sister.... each have one bl. it is will be gone.
