Hi I am holding Malaysian passport but reside in Australia. And planning to visit Macau this Christmas. I just wonder if I need to apply for it before departure or I can apply on the spot? I will be going from Hong Kong.

You are eligible for free entry to Macao and stay for 30 days. So, it is not necessary.
