About:Internet in China

Internet in China.I'm a Canadian traveling to China, i read that Google is blocked in the Country!

How do i stay connected with my Hotmail account while I'm in China? What is a proxy server ? How can they help? Thank you. Dan

Actually, you can still use Google in China, just there are some pages or websites blocked. The hotmail account logging also is available. Don't worry!

Hi Dan! Google Search is up and running. Google+, Google Docs and Google Drive are not (as of today). But you can use dropbox -with a local ISP, of course!

With regards to staying connected — 2 of my colleagues tried China Telecom https://en.bj.189.cn/ct/ and no complaints. I have not used it personally, so I wouldn't know.

Long story short, No worries. You can use internet as usual. Enjoy your trip!
