I read that bus 8 stops at Shaolin Temple; how far do we have to walk from the bus stop to the temple.

Hi, the bus no. 8 can be taken near Dengfeng Bus Station. Upon your arrival at Shaolin Temple station, you can walk there in several minutes.

For the back journey, you can take the same bus to Dengfeng Bus Station, where there are buses to LY. I remember the last bus no. 8 leaves Shaolin Temple around 19:30.

I'm afraid there is no direct train between LY and Longmen.You can take a taxi to travel directly, with the taxi fare of 40-50RMB. Or bus no. 28 can take you from LY Train Station to Longmen Station directly.

I know a Jiudu Hotel right at the oposite of LY Train Station.

Does anyone know the difference in service/cleanliness of D trans and G trains. The high speed train does not pass through LY, so how/where do i take the HS train to Xian, from LY.

Hi, bus no. 28 operates from 06:00 to 20:10 and it takes aorund an hour to Longmen Station.

Actually, the terminus of bus no. 28 is Longmen HST Station. Therefore, upon your getting off, you can see the train station.

Generally, the D-trains and G-trains are the same in service and cleaness. The only difference lies that G train has higher speed than D train.

The HST trains to Xian need to be taken at Longmen Station. Therefore, you have to travel from LY to Longmen Station first.
