West Sea Canyon

This question is for those persons who hiked West Sea (Xihai) Canyon since April 2013. Since a new gondola was opened at West Sea Canyon, I would like to know if I can still go on the 8km hike from Fairy Bridge to 2nd Ring and Cloud Dispelling Pavilion (via Plunk Way). If I sleep at Baiyun Hotel and start early (6am), can I beat the crowd that will take the gondola to Xihai Canyon?
