About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Thailand - Hong Kong (Guangzhou) - NYC, do qualify for 72 hour Visa-free transit?

I am traveling to Hong Kong from Thailand and staying there for 4 days. During my 4 days stay in hong kong I would like to go to Guangzhou for 2 days.

Sorry, you need to apply for a Chinese visa if you want to visit Guangzhou.
