wish to apply for a new visa in Asia/PAC

I currently have a F, 120 days validity until the end of october but single entry only. I would like to travel during my 3 months in Shanghai but will need a new one to return to China. But HK and at least Bangkok (I contacted the embassy directly) tightened laws for applications.

Any advice how and where to get a new one?
