About:How long is the Great Wall of China?

why in China the king asked the Chinese to build the Great Wall and also very long

In anicent China, northern nomadic tribes tried to attack and rule the Central Plains. To prevent them from plundering the territory and protect people, they were odered to built. As China covers such a large area, to well prevent the northnomadic tribes, the wall was built very long.
