taichung x sightseeing

Question

I am planning for a family trip to Taichung in December. Would be a good period in terms of weather, crowd, sightseeing, shopping etc? What other places would you suggest that I should visit for sightseeing trips? Comparing December and June, which period will be better to travel to taiwan? Thanks for all the help!

The average temperature is around 18C and it will be not crowded during that time. It may easily rain during that time than other seasons. If you want to go shopping, it is suggested to pick a holiday time to go there, so that you can find many shopping malls having discounts. For sightseeing, it is also suggested to go to Taipei, there the Shilin Night Market and Maokung area is very nice. Comparing December, it is suggested to go to duing June. Then you can go to visit Ali Mountain and you will not so many rainy days then.

To enjoy your trip in Taiwan, December is better than Jun. Jun, jul, and Aug are hot and humid. Oct to Dec are the good time to visit. You can shop and eat at night market without getting sweaty.
