My son uses an electric wheelchair & will study at the Putuo Campus. Is Shanghai wheelchair accessible?

He is able to use crutches to walk short distances. Will he be able to use public transportation. Are there elevators at the train staions? I notice is some videos, many people travel in electricscooters. Will he be able to navigate the streets of SH?

Yes, the wheelchair is accessible, but you may still find some inconvenient.
For the public transportation, I think the local subway is available for him, but the public buses are still hard for him to take.
There are elevators at the train stations, but you need to contact the staff of the subway stations to help him to use the elevators.
