About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Hi, I am a Canadian Citizen with Passport flying from Osaka to Vancouver

I hold a Canadian Passport and will be having a 10h layover in Pudong. I would like to go into shanghai to look around instead of sitting in the terminal. Do I need to apply for a visa? And if I do how would I go about doing it if I am in Osaka at the moment

I think you'd better apply for a G type one when you are in Japan. You'd better provide: completed application form, a copy of your passport info page (valid more than six months and with two blank pages), your legal visa entry record and connecting air ticket (both original and copy).
