About:Kunming Travel

Yuanyang terrace fields, Dongchuan red earth & Yuanmou

Please advise when is the best time to visit each of the above places for photography. I have heard of Danxia earth forms. Where is this located? Thank you.

The best time to Yuanyang is the November to March (the next year) and the best time to Dongchuan is the October. There is not a specific time to visit Yuanmou.
According to my experience and considering your convenience, Dongchuan has different sceneries in different seasons, so you can go there to enjoy different beauty in different seasons. Thus, it is suggested to go there in November, so that you can travel all the three places together.
For Danxia, it is in Zhangye, Gansu Province, in northwest part of China.
