Best location within the French Concession in Shanghai

I will be travelling to SH in Dec/Jan, including a 5 and 9yr old. What is the safest, and most convenient to the metro area to stay within the French Concession?

I think you can live Zhaojiabang Station and the Xujiahui Station.
Zhaojiabang Road Station is the start of Old French Concession and it is also the station from subway line 7 and line 9. Near this station Pine City Hotel is suggested.
